Empowering patients to better manage their own health outcomes

The Problem

A health technology company came to us with a fascinating challenge: To help build a system that would give patients greater visibility and access to their own medical data, empowering them to make connections between providers and services, and holistically manage family healthcare.

By unlocking access to data typically only visible to insurers, the health tech company aims to improve coordination between providers, pharmacies, patients, and insurers—leading to better care for individuals and lower costs for all.

Our Work

Futuredraft conducted a series of strategy and design sprints with the health tech company’s product team, UX researchers and software developers.

Over the course of a robust 18-month effort, we developed the business strategy and product requirements, and designed patient- and insurer-facing interfaces for this innovative new product.

The Impact

The project is currently deployed internally with the healthcare company’s employees for extensive testing, and is expected to launch publicly for use by health insurance companies in the coming year.
